The woman had this problem for 17 years and currently being investigated by the Ministry of Health. Initial consultation with doctors and specialists found that the wires are also inside her body. At this stage, there were no current medical explanations or any case ever exist. Hence, there is but only one other possible consideration… Occult magic.
Her name is NOORSYAIDAH. A 40 years old kindergarten teacher from Sangatta, East Kutai. Her first symptoms started manifestating in 1991. The metal wires grew out of her chest and her belly. There was no explanation then (or even now). During the first week wires kept falling off from her body and were gone. A month later, the wires grew back again and from that time onward the wires did not fall. They kept growing!
One of her sisters said that she tried to help by trimming the wires. Alas, whenever she trimmed the wires, the wire retreated as if it were hiding and then popped up in another part of Noorsyaidah’s body.
There have been 4 Medical Specialists taking this matter seriously and have treated her in several ways. And as the result, doctors can’t figure out what exactly is happening to her. The doctors have taken an X-Ray image from her stomach and found that there are more than 40 metal wires inside her and some of them are bursting out of her skin. They looks like a living phenomenon. The wires are able mobile and therefore can change location at will, Thus the doctors are forced to use a magnet to scan the exact position of the wires. The wires bursted out without any symptoms of Tetanus, but she said that they’re hurting her like when needles sting.

Well, supposedly it's a world-wide phenom, but not very often with metal, and not of that gauge (literally, that's some damn thick wire). Morgellons suppposedly with "artificial fibers" which when analyzed don't produce any direct manufacturer, but metal RODS (these ain't wires, baby), that's just too much to believe.

Maybe these phenomena are less hidden away in these countries, people are more open to discuss these things. I mean look at the governments of France and Mexico's attitude towards UFOs for example. They don't go out to witnesses saying that what they saw was Venus swooping on their roof and nothing out of the ordinary. Not saying I believe the story, for the time being I'm not drawing any conclusions as it requires further investigation but as some pointed out, it may be a variant of what is for the time being called Morgellons.

nealbo, it's a logical fallacy to attack the presentation of the case to challenge its validity. Besides, there's plenty of inconsistencies here without it.
We have no hospital name, no doctors, no metallugist, no micrographic cross-sections of the wire...pretty much nothing but some blurry photos and video to support this claim. I'm with Jonathon on this one: extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.
I get the sense this might be from the local equivalent of a "Weekly World News" report (please, the only other explanation is occult magic? c'mon.).

This does sound a bit similar to some of the bizarre phenomena of Morgellons Disease. Self replicating nano machines have been found in the bodies of the Morgellons afflicted. These wires sound like they behave with some of the intelligence that is evident in the nano bots in Morg victims.

after reading your comments. I would have to say that some extraordinary diseases may not occur in the USA, GB, or any of the other more "modern" countries. since these countries have well cleaned water supplies, massive health codes abound, and a general "sterility" to diseases in the general sense. the USA has inoculations for almost anything you can dream up.
rare occurrences are seen to happen in lesser "clean" locations like Central and South America. India, and that general region. these places have, for the most part, under-developed towns and cities that lack properly cleaned city supplied water and closed sewers.
it was not long ago that the masses were sick on a daily basis. until the late 1800's with the development of water treatment plants. once people had cleaner water supplies to use, illnesses were kicked to the curb. thus drowning out sedentary, and the myriads of other diseases that accompany filthy water ingestion.
I am not saying it does not happen here or in any other "modern" society. I am stating it happens less frequently.

What everybody is seeing is a controlled release of info. Most likely this woman and her family / neighbors are telling the truth, and have done so for MANY YEARS. They have gotten the runaround naturally because what she has is no doubt "classified" on some level, and/or has a "national security" tag attached to it. The phrase "4 doctors are investigating" should read "4 government scientists are trying to cover it up".
As many people have asked, "what are the wires made of?", "is this related to Morgellon's", "what might the wires do outside of her body?", are all legitimate questions that we will never get answered. Our "news people" will never pick up a story like this, which answers the question, "why do weird things like this only happen over seas?". BECAUSE OUR NEWS NEVER COVERS SUCH SENSITIVE TOPICS HERE. I mean, for crying out loud, they still haven't covered Morgellon's Disease despite 5 years of evidence, hundreds of Youtube / Google videos, and investigations by dozens of serious researchers and doctors. And don't even start me on Chem-Trail spraying (almost 15 years of evidence, thousands of videos and books, and various research and testimony from scientists, doctors, pilots).
We are living in times actually worse than Nazi Germany, because the tech is so much better now. It says the metal is some sort of rusty iron, and they've already done a CT scan and the wires apparently are attached to her abdomen's exterior, though some are poking inside as well. A team of doctors is going to be operating to remove it at Rumah Sakit Umum Abdul Wahab Sjachranie (a hospital) in Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur. It also only says this has been for 15 years. It doesn't seem too disimilar fromt the "tree man" stories from a while back.
Seriously, if any of you are really so worked up over this, why not just do a little research? All this is there in the info given, after all, and I'm talking to the skeptics as well as the "morgellon" nut-cases. Indonesian isn't that hard to understand unless you're a hopeless monoglot.

I will admit, I haven't thoroughly read all of the comments. That said, this is to the people who are asking why these phenomena keep happening in "some forsaken outpost of civilization".
The primary answer is this: third-world countries (where a lot of these abnormalities occur) have very limited means of medicine for the more remote parts of their country.
In the United States, physical deformities (such as Cleft Pallet Syndrome) are usually treated early on. The main exceptions to medical treatment in the United States are personal beliefs, lack of education, and financial standing. That's right people: industrialized nations are also a breeding ground of "some forsaken outpost of civilization".
If you don't like it, then take a cue from Mohandas Gandhi and "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

So I am a "Morgellon's nutcase" am I? The poster above talks about doing proper research then completely downplays one of the scariest and potentially one of the most significant diseases of any era. The very fact that our media is so ridiculously controlled (research Op. Mockingbird Mr. Turd-head) allows for many things to occur right under our noses. And if we are too arrogant, naive, or plain stupid to see the truth, then we deserve the terrible outcomes.
And for the rest of you doubting turds, why on Earth would some regular person claim something so outrageous for so many years if it wasn't part of her legitimate experience? Did she foresee a little notoriety in distant lands 15 years ago? What is her motivation? Regardless, no doctor in Indonesia or any other hospital anywhere will ever report the truth of what is coming out of that woman and why. In this sense, it is similar to "cattle mutilations"; they happen, they are truly bizarre, and no scientist on the government payrole will ever move us closer to the truth.

if the wires were coming out of the body wouldn't the skin protrude at the base of the wire (from poking out from the inside)? In the video it looks like the wires are creating an indentation like they were poked in instead of breaking out from underneath.

Thanks to the poster with liputan6 link. It's not very likely that some weird parasite or process is extruding organically made metal wires through this woman's body. Not impossible but not very likely. It could be a broken steel hernia mesh or steel suture breaking thru the skin but she would likely be in considerable pain. While she does have an old scar on her abdomen, it's not really in the right place for either a lap or full open hernia repair. Also metal mesh hasn't been used in hernia repairs since the 1940's...but its Indonesia and they may do things differently. So that's one rational possibility.
If you look closely at the liputan6 video, there is a section where they are holding up prints of an abdominal CY scan and an abd x-ray. It looks like they used IV contrast in the CT scan as her kidneys show up very well. What you don't see is intrusion into the abdominal cavity by the "wires". They appear only on the surface of the abdomen. In the abd x-ray you see several twisted pieces of metal clustered over the abdomen. Since the video resolution is not very good, it is hard to make out specific details. However, ask yourself where on your body do you have loose skin within easy reach of your hands? Yep, skin is tough and poking sharp wires thru it would require one hand to hold the skin fold and another to do the poking. There's a nutter born evey minute and now this one's got her 15 minutes of fame. Based on the little evidence I could see in the video, it looks like she's been poking wires thru her abdominal skin. Just be glad you're not married to her....doggystyle only with that one.

Actually, there could be a more mundane explanation than Morgellon's.
I once interviewed a woman who had worked for years in a factory where copper wire was wrapped onto spools. Often the wire would break, sending lengths of wire into the woman's body. For many years afterwards, she experienced a similar problem, wires emerging from her body as the body rejected them. It was uncomfortable, but otherwise didn't affect her health.
This, by the way, took place in Chicago.
No clue whether this woman had such a work history, but it would go far in explaining what's happening.
I'm often surprised at how people jump to conclusions when there is some odd occurrence like this. Some dismiss it as fraud or error; others assume it's some unearthly phenomenon. There are often very simple explanations, if you dig a little bit.

Alright, I'll be the one to suggest this since no one else seems to have thought of it. Put this woman in a closed room under 24 hr video. Either you will see how she is doing this to herself or you will see these wires i n the process of growing. Until someone does some direct observation of this everyone should be skeptical.

For all of you skeptics. I'm an indonesian and i'm aware of this news along with my 200 million follow indonesian. As far as we know the news is very real and valid. There is no cover up. The news has had a numerous coverage by indonesian media from newspaper to live tv. The woman had already got a enough treatment by the government that makes swine flu looks like a common flu, the specialist involved had a good reputation and for no metalurgist involved well a guess a lab result is quite sufficient to determined whether it is a steel wire or not. But i guess nothing satisfied a skeptics than his own senses, for that you can come to jakarta and see it for your self and don't forget to bring along a bunch of your fellow skeptics so that you wont have to defend your experience back home your self.
